Let’s all be honest here, there is one thing the Scream franchise has been missing…A dwarf as the killer! (I kid) While trying to think of a person for Entry 7, I came across the trailer for Season 2 of Game of Thrones and it popped into my head. PETER DINKLAGE! I mean come on, unless you have an irrational fear of midgets, you have to love this guy. He is a class act in real life, has a lot of talent and has used his “condition” to the best of his ability in a variety of roles throughout his career. While Dinklage is known currently for his Emmy winning role as Tyrion Lannister on Game of Thrones the role of his that actually popped into my head is his brief appearance in the holiday comedy Elf! In that film, Dinklage plays Miles Finch, a very cynical children’s book author who is very sensitive about his height and has an extreme temper lol. You may ask, how would that role translate to a Scream character? Here’s how: I see him as a studio executive who wants to reboot the Stab franchise based on the events of Scream 4 and is constantly and furiously badgering Sidney, Dewey, Gale and any other survivors that will undoubtedly show up in Scream 5 (Kirby and hopefully Robbie?) for the rights to use their likenesses and experiences. I think it would be hilarious to see Dinklage getting furious after failing and failing again to get someone to sign a form to allow him to make his movie and it could even make for a good red herring of him being involved in the murders, indirectly of course because of his stature. Plus, he would need to have a Ghostface chase scene/fight where he wins and gets away, shuffling as fast as he can lol! He is a great dramatic and a comedic actor and he could add some genuinely funny comic relief to the film.

It has been a LONG LONG time since I have had the willpower to do anything on this blog. Like I have said before, there are only so many pictures of Erik Knudsen or Scream related posts without becoming redundant so I apologize!

Anyways, on to the long awaited Entry 6. Anton is a up and coming actor with an amazing amount of talent and charisma that he has shown in many roles such as Star Trek, The Beaver, Terminator: Salvation, and especially (to me) in the crime drama Alpha Dog in which he turns in an amazing and emotional performance. I think the fact that he has also done many indie/low budget films after his most mainstream roles says that he is willing to do any project that he believes in or is really interested in being a part of. I think horror movies are a perfect launching step for young actors if done the right way, (I’m looking at you Scream) and I would love to see this guy in a Scream film. I think due to the variety of the roles he has turned in, he could do a great job as the lead male or a supporting character. Plus I think he could possibly be a GREAT surprise killer, especially if his character was written correctly and with care.

Forget Ehren Kruger.

“I’ll be right back.” With those four words, Matthew Lillard carved out for himself a tiny, bloody morcel of horror movie history. It was after all, the a stand-out line from Scream, one of the most influential films of the last twenty years. And like the rest of the Scream cast (except for maybe poor Skeet Ulrich), Lillard got a fair shake at playing the Hollywood game. At a time when teen-oriented fare seemed like the only thing studios were interested in making, aka the late ’90s, Lillard was cast in movies like Summer’s Catch and She’s All That, cementing him as a go-to for the hero’s lanky best friend. Then Scooby Doo came along, and as Shaggy, Lillard became the star of his very own franchise. Which is why seeing him suddenly show up opposite George Clooney in Alexander Payne’s The Descendants is so jarring. The first thing that comes to mind is, Oh yeah, that guy!
